Engineering managers at global technology companies are constantly faced with a variety of challenges, from building efficient processes that contribute to a healthy engineering culture to navigating global nuances and everything in between.
Join us for an evening of networking and lightning talks from managers across Stripe's engineering organization. Hear from David Singleton, Stripe's CTO, Amber Feng, one of Stripe's earliest EMs, and Tramale Turner, who recently joined to manage a team in Seattle.
Meet and mingle with other EMs from the community over drinks and small bites. Doors open at 6pm and we'll get started with the talks shortly after.
Prior to joining Stripe in 2017, David spent over 11 years at Google where he most recently served as VP of Engineering, leading the Android Wear and Google Fit teams. Originally from Belfast, David was one of the first engineers at Google London and oversaw much of the team's growth. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, skiing, and tinkering with neural networks. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two kids.
Tramale is an Engineering Manager in Stripe's Seattle office focused on Edge Engineering. He has a passion for developing people equal to his passion for building great products. He also owns a wine bar in Seattle that gives him unique perspective on the types of issues many of our users face on a daily basis.
Amber has been at Stripe since 2011, where she’s seen the company grow from 10 to 1,500+ employees. She's worked on everything from designing APIs and products to building the systems that move money around the world. Amber loves learning about anything and everything, from game development to pottery.
