Agentic dev day brings developers together with the Stripe engineers building agent infrastructure—from tools for coding agents to new protocols that let agents transact. Spend the day with engineers building that infrastructure, so you leave knowing how to build it yourself.Â
Don't forget your laptop, you need it to participate in the hands-on building sessions!Â
Agents are starting to transact on their own, discovering products, negotiating terms, and completing purchases without a human clicking "buy." In this opening keynote, we'll discuss what it takes to build the infrastructure behind agentic commerce, and what developers should build now to meet agents as a new class of customer.
Discover the infrastructure that lets agents go from interacting with a website to making a payment. This talk covers how WebMCP gives agents access to a website’s existing functionality and how a Link agent wallet gives them a way to pay, bringing these capabilities together to help agents complete tasks on the web.
Carl Flood, Engineer, StripeÂ
Agentic commerce makes it easy for software to discover products and initiate purchases, but the harder problem is what happens next: payments, inventory, fulfillment, retries, and human intervention across processes that can run for hours or days. Using the Universal Commerce Protocol as the interface between agents and merchants, we'll look at how durable execution turns an agent-initiated checkout into a reliable end-to-end process, keeping agents responsive, merchants in control, and more transactions moving successfully through to fulfillment.
Simon Emms, Solutions Architect, Temporal
AI agents can now move money in Stripe, not just report on it, which raises the question of control: how do you let an agent act fast without losing oversight on refunds or payouts worth real money? This talk covers the two ways to connect an agent to Stripe, acting on your behalf or as its own independent actor, and the controls, human confirmation and configurable approval rules, that keep you in charge either way.
Daniel Wood, Product Manager, Stripe
Close out the day with a Stripe engineer from the Agentic Commerce team on what's next for machine payments. They'll share Stripe's roadmap and vision for the infrastructure that lets AI agents transact autonomously, and what that means for how money moves when the buyer is a machine, not a person.
Steve Kaliski, Engineer, StripeÂ
The way customers find and buy products is shifting from search to LLMs. In this workshop, you’ll customize an AI agent to become an expert shopping assistant. Through hands-on exercises, create Shared Payment Tokens (SPT) using the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) and pass payment credentials from an AI agent to your merchant Stripe account for processing and risk evaluation. By the end of this workshop, you’ll have a fully functioning agentic commerce solution.
How fast can you go from init to deployed? We'll find out together with Stripe Projects. We'll walk through how to get started, then you'll build a real application from scratch, wire it up to Stripe and other service providers, and deploy it, all in 60 minutes. Leave with a working app and a repeatable setup you can reuse on your next project.
Add a price to an endpoint and it gets paid, no checkout page, no API keys to issue, no billing dashboard to build. In this session, you'll build and publicly deploy a real service, a search API, an image generator, an MCP toolbox, anything you want, and have it charging agents and humans alike by the end of the session. Validate it live against the protocol with npx mppx validate, and walk away with a working, revenue-ready endpoint you can point anyone to.
